after a long ride from longwood gardens to some company where people like math and physics i had bit of time and i was too thrilled with the gardens to just sit down and read.
i wanted to explore some more.
so i headed to brinton house which was built in 1704 by quakers and is a rather untouched part of the original land track granted to william penn.
i wish the gps would have told me how long it takes to get somewhere when accounting for the overcrowded suburbs of philadelphia.
amazingly enough this peaceful spot is not far away from a rather busy road but it's a historic landmark and won't be disturbed any further.
unfortunately, the house tour is only open on the weekend and i had to be content to wander around by myself.... and i couldn't even peek in the windows due to no porch and high windows.
over active imaginations come in handy when in the peace and quiet of beautiful settings with no access to the insides of historic houses.
'i was there picture'
anyone ever see 'sleepy hollow'? i kept looking over my shoulder for christopher walken.
the end.
then i had the interesting detour past the beer to go church and a hour plus car ride in areas i'm not sure i was supposed to be in.
there are times in my life when i feel like cornelia otis skinner and her adventures in europe.
