garden hope springs eternal

just not the vegetable variety. since i'd rather put flowers in vases instead of salads i think i'm going to try for a cut flower garden in the poison patch and start a new veg patch elsewhere.  but in the mean time i just take pictures of sunflowers...

i could have cared less about sunflowers a couple of years ago but they really grow on you when you plant them

someone gave me a 'rose of lancaster' root and to my surprise it took...we'll see what it does in the spring

then there was a bonsai guy on the side of the road somewhere and i couldn't help myself.    having an extreme fear of pests i'll be treating it for pests that usually plague indoor plants just in case.  i mean, i got it in an abandoned tree lot on the side of the road....it probably has bugs.

and as sad as i am about my garden i love watching pen use her swings without winged devils flying around.... (well, the locust wasp variety anyway)
