we've only made it to two summer concerts this year....
sigh.
i hope that changes.
but two were at a festival so there was plenty to enjoy while we were there:
i thought a bluegrass concert would be rather nice.....
apparently it wasn't just any bluegrass concert; it was a dr. ralph stanley concert.
score one for me.... hizazzle was very excited.
dr. stanley did not leave that stage til it was all over. amazing concert.
so worth staying up past bedtime.
we stood in line to get his autograph.
this poor woman in the center was so excited to meet him. had grown up listening to him with her dad and couldn't wait to get a picture.....
until her i-phone was out of memory with pictures.
step in me and i emailed her a picture....
but i was so busy juggling her picture and all Bible we had got with a cd purchase for dr. stanley to sign that my pictures of hizzle and dr. stanley's face lighting up to see p were all blurry.
this is the best one i have.
sometimes being nice to strangers means you get the shaft.
i always look forward to seeing attention seekers.
concert two was a cello rock concert?
but i got to see the lead singer from a band i liked in high school and my cousin and i sang out like we were in our teens again.
p was not impressed as she was not in high school in the 90's so a little goofing off was in order.
it's not a down town concert without dancing wannabe hippies in the background
the cities fountain is back on finally which means all the backpackers and homeless can start bathing again.
that sounds so judgmental but it really grosses me out.
rainbows will alway remind me of God's promise. even the man made ones.
