baptist lent?

don't panic.

it's just a six week childrens' Bible study that uses the time period of lent.

it does explain what some words mean, for example:

'the word lent means the lengthening of days- because during the season before Easter, in the northern part of the world, the cold days of winter lengthen into the warm days of spring.'

it was written by Christian who wanted to make Resurrection Sunday an important and truly purposeful celebration.  now that notion i love.

to make the second half of the story, the completion of our salvation, as important in our lives as the Christmas story has become. 

i love that.

it takes children into the Old Testament verses that point to Christ over six weeks.

i really love that.

it's designed so that you don't even have to put in words like lent (i don't plan to because while p is not lacking in brains i'm pretty sure the concept between Baptist and Catholic and Baptist and Anglican and so on is a little beyond her)

p is excited because it came with a magnifying glass.  she calls it a magneting glass.
