flower lover in training

note: have you ever read 'gone with the wind'?  i just watched a pbs documentary on margaret mitchell and i felt validated because i have actually suffered through reading the thing.  sorry, i like austen.  she has happy endings.  if i'm going to read 700 pages i like to be rewarded with an emotional smile even if it isn't plausible in reality.  but the documentary was interesting.  i did like the movie too.  mammy is my favorite.  i love how she tells it like it is.  best line: you were there waiting for him like a spider.

i also started watching the pbs series (or bbc series) 'call the midwife'.  it's an obvious plug for the national health service (i've seen two episodes with literally a dialogue plug in each, just an observation) but it's well done so far and i think it's based on memoirs.  i've got to get my hands on those.  the best shows/movies always inspire you to read.  if i ever finish 'girl of the limberlost'.
