the new zoo tradition

p to the s: i'm glad i schedule things a head of time because my heart has been sad all weekend.  i just can't get things out of my head sometimes and baby 6 year olds being murdered in a movie theater makes me sad... regardless if i think she should have been there or not... and people being murdered, ugh, i'm just sad.  i don't watch those movies because even pretend violence makes me sad.... real senseless violence just throws me for a loop.  i'll be singing 'tell it to Jesus'.  i've no other such a friend or brother, i'll tell it to Jesus.

the fourth of July is a big deal but in the course of life all day picnics are not as common...

so a morning at the zoo 2nd year running was on the agenda.

in an attempt not to repeat posts too much here are the highlights:

there was a lot of pappy only allowed

we started at the park and worked backwards this year

even at the zoo this is just uncomfortable

p was extremely nervous and i don't blame her... reptiles are not my thing.
unless they're my purse.

roll a rock along the ledge and the sea lion follows... very cool.

of course i had to stop at the elephants

i know how that elephant feels

viewing God's creations and celebrating America was a great way to spend the day... even if it was 90 by 10am.
