the bare beauty of it all

i love the delicious bareness of the mantel after the Christmas clutter

without the tree the hole in the wall is much more obvious but much easier to use

(i couldn't help take a couple more branches from the fir tree and put them somewhere.
i just really love fir trees.)

then there is the return of fresh flower arrangements.
i love them.

the dining room is also so deliciously bare...
 but you can see why curtains are a new years resolution

pennie and i did add one thing...
the faux fur blanket.
we love it.

i've also realized that our bathroom is turning into a green house.
but if there is one room that needs plenty of fresh oxygen i guess that would be it.
