child #1 couldn't be forced, convinced, swayed, or asked to play with anything properly or the way the manufacturer intended.

and i loved ever second of watching that happen.
child #2 intuitively plays by the rules.
he also has his rules and he doesn't miss a trick.
i love watching every second of that happen. it's just different.
