have you ever taken a blow dryer to your baby's bottom???
i have.
right after a nice long vinegar and tea tree oil soak.
part of a now daily regimen.
excepting the tea tree oil because el guapo splashes too much for me to feel safe with that in the water.
vinegar, tea tree oil, coconut oil, nystatin, grapefruit seed extract on order all in effort to wage one war...
the war against yeast.
a month and a half of different anti-biotics have created a monster.
even with pro-biotics the yeast monster is still waging war against us.
it's beating the nystatin so i've had to up my game to the daily vinegar baths.
wash everything on hot after one use.
disposable diapers only until it's gone.
kill the beast!
this isn't my first rodeo and i ain't horsing around.
these sensitive skin kiddos are going to to drive me to boxes and boxes of stress eating little debbie snacks.
ugh.
i'm sick of obsessing over bum rashes.
worrying if my water temps are high enough... hizz, did you raise that temp to 130 F??
sick of disinfecting diaper inserts and covers, towels and onsies.
i'm trying to save for a sub*ru and another house not pay for a new water treatment plant.
speaking of saving....
i found out new information to add to my rant against people who pressure to cloth.
did you know that using the wrong soaps and chemicals ruin cloth diapers and make them less absorbent???
did you know that the savings from using cloth diapers can run $800 a year??
so why would someone try to sell me used stained diapers when they've saved hundreds and hundreds over the course of 3 years.... and i'm supposed to assume that they were properly taking care of them? and if they didn't then i've totally lost my investment.
sorry, i'm not taking that kind of risk. new baby new. when you are going to give me your used, stained poo catchers for free then we'll talk.
and now what if they had yeast in them!
did they use liners?? did they wash them separately? did they use bleach!
oh my, i was raised by people who gave in order to be a blessing to others not make a profit by them.
back to yeast.
i'll let you know if they baths work.
the dr.s only say keep using cream 4 times a day until gone and it may take weeks.
i'm not willing to accept those terms.
i will fight to the end.
i will conquer.
if i don't put pictures up here some days you'll know it's because i'm going a couple of rounds with a broad named candida.
Oh no, what a nightmare! Poor G (and poor you!!)
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try cloth, and you've inspired me to finally do it. Now I'm extra glad I ordered new!
