the following is a depiction of days of effort for our favorite Christmas decoration.
i could spend hours at a tree lot. the smell is intoxicating.
but it was raining and cold. i've never picked out a tree so fast.
i told her 'that machine ate our tree!' mother of the year.
first year for the a tree in the dining room and we love it.
she couldn't wait to start to decorate. but it took 5 hours to string the lights, 18 strands. then it took two power strips, two outlets, and one long orange extension cord.
when you're tired from hours of lighting, a baby with a bad night of sleep, and the prospect of hundreds or ornaments you call in reinforcements. i love my reinforcements.
must be nice.
the thought of no tree in the living room was not acceptable.
now we have breakfast with our tree,
dinner with our tree,
lit or unlit we just love our tree.
