it's madness

i admit that i'm not the biggest birthday party fan.

but because i'm allowed to contradict myself whenever i want i can say i love certain exceptions.

didn't neal diamond say 'she's never wrong, she just changes her mind.'

i don't like throwing birthday parties i don't like to worry about themes and favors and stuff like that.

i think people who do are fantastic but i get too stressed out.

but i love having a night with tons of my family around me.  it's a good excuse for a reunion.  the people are my favorite part.

i don't like going to most birthday parties.

birthday parties where i'm just p's mom and i have to chit chat for hours and make sure p doesn't bull doze other children with her super 5 year old strength.

but i love going to any age birthday party for people in my fam or close friends because i love them and i love seeing them as much as possible.

there are a lot of rules to this way of thinking but since i'm the only one who has to worry about them i'll let myself have them.

so, p always gets a birthday party.  she's excited because it's the one day she can eat only the icing on the cake guilt free and it's a day where i can just smile at all the people i love who came.

and i get to see her smile too which is pretty great.
