it worked

i successfully collected and started poppy seeds.

granted poppies can grow like weeds but i'll count it as success.

i also succeeded with sea holly.

sea holly might be considered a weed in britian and australia.

i'll claim it as a stateside success.

next project.... gathering tomato seeds.

now if i can eradicate slugs and cicada wasps i'll be really happy.
