the other day in the cool of the evening i was sitting enjoying the light in the back yard and as i moved to go inside i noticed something bright yellow on the ground.
we don't have much in bright yellow.
and i noticed this monarch.
it was so still and unwilling to move i hurriedly called p out.
we wonder if it had just emerged or if it's wings has become wet.
she, of course, got as close as she could without breaking the no touch rule.
it was such a beautiful thing to see.
this is the second time God blessed me this summer by showing me still butterflies.
and the next day my poppies bloomed.
