she finished k4.
this should read my mother graduated k4 and made me go with her.
just kidding, sometimes.
i had a heard a 'theory' that the current popular insistence on teaching kids everything to do with everything starting at age 1 was a bunch of bunk..... and i inclined to agree so i taught her nothing really (structured anyways) until 4 and now she knows way more than i ever expected.
so i think it's true, the pressure for pre-school is a bunch of bunk. it is. it's not a leg up in education. it's probably fun with crafts and all that stuff and it's great for those who want it because hey, who doesn't want to sing songs and glue popsicle sticks but this whole societal guilt trip to send your kids to strangers as soon as possible to learn abc's is a load of bunk.
the idea your child won't go to college if they picked their nose and ran all day and learned to be bored then curious versus sitting down and learning to write and being told stuff constantly... i mean, utter nonsense. i think i'd be sick of the abc's if i had to learn them for 2 years until they started to teach me how to read. just saying. exploring God's world, that's the way to create a curious mind, not sitting at a table. who knows, maybe there is gold in that nostril tunnel but you won't know until you let your finger look.
