National Park Weekend: Ogle's Farm, Trillium Trail to Grotto Falls

we left at 3:30 in the morning... and this girl did not sleep the entire 8 hour trip.
which was part of the purpose of leaving at 3:30 in the morning.
the best intentions....

no early check in and we went straight to the woods for the first of many pb&j sandwiches.
the dogwoods were in bloom all over the park.
determined to finish our jr. ranger program in only 3 days.
Trillium trail to Grotto Falls.  a little over 2 miles round trip.
not the easiest trail.... slightly up hill.
this is a cliff... you can't tell but ti's a cliff.
this is a giant dead tree with large circumference and very far down a steep hill.
you also cannot tell this.
two things i worried about:
1. snakes
2. being squished by a falling dead tree
told you they were tall.
walking behind grotto falls.
back down the rocky trail.
think of all those blue grass songs that 'curse this rocky ground' - thanks for picking up on that huzzle.
speaking of... free blue grass concert.
see that little purple blur?
she's employing the clog lessons given to her by a wonderful grandmother who happened to like p's previous interpretation of scottish dancing.  fueled by maniacal energetic tendencies produced by lack of sleep this dancing whirlwind earned $2 from obliging grandmothers and mothers for being cute and entertaining everybody.
i never earned anything for being cute.
this girl is too much.
