i finished the 'take a break' present afghan and while it is very very simple it is very pretty.
the color is most like the first picture.
the yarn took such a long time to come in that i had to stick with a simple pattern.
i appease my sense of disappointment by remembering that the nursery this is going to most likely will end up very frilly and something simple will go nicely.
it's a bamboo wool blend and is wonderfully soft to feel.
after i finished that i was able to go back to my get rid of extra yarn project.
a grocery bag makes a good present bag. at least i hope so but it's not likely that they'd tell me if they didn't like it.
i let p make the bag for the other blanket.
last bit of brown yarn went to a different grocery bag. not my favorite but i can modify it to my taste. add to the present box.
fortunately i have more left over cotton yarn to modify one for myself.
