when the words 'free ice cream festival' appear on a list of city things to do in a weekend i usually pay attention and then arrange a whole day to ensure attendance.
unfortunately i must have missed the part where there was only one ice cream vendor (who's wares were 'eh') and they must have been sponsoring the event.
and they chose hip hop music with wildly inappropriate lyrics.
i don't know how they thought that was 'family friendly.'
so we left and decided to enjoy the sunshine and other things around town.
note: this is river water. i would never let bare skin touch the transient's bath tub known as the fountain.
even the mist spraying from it was grossing me out.
not a bad afternoon for $3 parking.
