'k' and the laminator

we're figuring out 'k' as p calls it and it's going rather well... i think anyways.

i do know something for sure... i love a laminator.

i hated the thought of ruining all this stuff with tape and sticky tack and ragged edges.

and now it's all laminated we can do this!

p is just so excited to have a pair of scissors.  she could care less about laminating.

i have also figured out something.

everything should be taught in song.  two weeks of associating sounds with letter flash cards got nowhere.

one week of flash cards and a modified version of a phonics song i learned when i was three has saved the day.

it reminds me of something from a one room school house in 'little house on the prairie'.

i probably would be so much better at multiplication if i had learned it in song.
