on a certain day at the end of strawberry season the meister and i traveled to amish farms to buy them out of strawberries.
they were the sweetest strawberries i've ever tasted and we bought lots of them.
somewhere between 33 to 35 quarts. i can't even remember exactly.
and we froze 8 quarts and canned the rest into jam.
14 pints of jam from the most amazing strawberries.
next year i plan to freeze double the amount and try preserves.
