trick or treat and halloween parade

the night of door to door candy collection finally came.

this was very exciting to certain small children.

it was good exercise for parents who had eaten a lot of candy in the trick or treat postponement period.
this event was preceded by the halloween parade one week before.

p was rather intimidated by the large crowd of costumed peoples.

and she was grumpy.

we eventually got a smile.

things became more fun when friends were met up with.

more friends.

it was also fun, for p, to be part of the parade and 'walk like the kids playing the music'.

and then of course, a bag of candy.

just what a grumpy girl needed.

note: let's be clear.  p was mary poppins in the rooftop 'step in time' routine.  if you think her costume wasn't legit and true .... watch the movie.  it is indeed accurate and was done with zero out of pocket cost.   my favorite way.
