it has been my intention for about a week to get ready for autumn... especially in the house.
but that is not happening for many different reasons.
i did manage to get a big hardy mum for my front porch because it was a gift from a cool gal i know.
i did manage to get a beauteous big pumpkin for my front porch because one grew in my neighbors garden and she didn't want it.
but i did intentionally chop down my sunflowers because they were just.. well, ugly.
amazingly large. (oh, let me introduce you to our new brick walkway to the side our house. almost done. just need to get my hands on a few more bricks. thanks hizzle for doing that.)
amazing how something so tiny starts something so big.
i was going to let them turn to seed and then i thought i'd rather spend the buck fifty on a new seed packet next year than stare at droopy flowers one more day.
p was very not happy about the weight of the sunflower.... apparently i thought the shot was more important.
88 cents! i love it.
another reason not to hang the mums is because i can't reach them to water them.... ask my poor droopy impatiens... they perked up though after about 15 buckets of water in their new spot.
love my new brick walk
