after months of sitting in the garage and months of me scraping and scraping and scraping, the new girl has moved into the dining room. i fell in love on craigslist and i convinced hizzle to let me get a 1920's china cabinet. considering how many hours scraping i spent i paid about $45 too much.
her one redeeming quality is the amazing green color that was underneath some white and creamy white layers of paint and there is no way i could achieve such a 'shabby' look if i had tried. i was going to paint her coventry gray. at least i don't have to go buy a can of coventry gray. and i have a great place to put sun flowers.
the people through the decades had even painted the glass knob. i can't believe i had to scrape a pretty glass knob. people.
as much as i like airy emptiness i had to junk her up for storage (the tray didn't stay...i had forgot to move it) you can tell how much i styled the shot since i forgot to move my polka dotted water cup, purse camera, tray and deer head.... oh yea, the deer head stays. i did manage to move the pile of sheets en route to the washer out of the way.
