field trips are everywhere... teaching kids where hamburgers come from

we made a visit to a long horn ranch... farm... ranch that looked like a farm

when i made a phone call to order a half a cow all i asked was 'can we come out and see the cows?'

and the proprietor set up a full blown field trip tour including:
changing cow pastures

explanations that boy and girl cows have horns

lots of blank stares

blank stares and big horns... we stayed in the truck for this part
