don't get me wrong i LOVE the color, just not in the dining room... it almost killed me to cover it up.
it was too dark.
it didn't change with me.
it made decorating for fall difficult.
it made decorating for Christmas difficult.
it got very girly very quickly.
i'll miss the quirkiness. how do i bring in some quirky...
it was a dark color in a room that isn't flooded with a natural light at all times. i don't like to turn lights on (i'm cheap) and i don't like to be in a dark room if it's not night so since i'm not painting all my furniture white (especially my old solid wood furniture) i had to paint the walls instead.
if i had a guest bedroom i'd paint it mocha rouge in a heartbeat... and i'd have all white furniture, a few exceptions maybe. white bedspread. closet sewing room.... you know just a few things...
anyhoo, i' primed it.
i did not include huz in on my decision. i usually don't. i didn't even tell him before i did it. this is because his response is always: 'i don't care as long as i don't have to help'.
perfect. complete control.
now i intend to paint it a color a shade of white (i don't want bright white in the dining room)....
i do not intend to do what i did in the living room: decide to change color and leave it primed for almost 3 1/2 years.
huzbandle walked in and said wow it's so much brighter in here... i feel validated.
