we're being initiated into the stratosphere of child activities and end of year shows.
a tuesday night in late may we were summoned to watch p exhibit how much fun she can have and what she learned in a year of toddler ............
this required me to be with her.
we have no pictures because i forgot to tell bo how to change the setting from B&W (which does not work well indoors as you can see).
this is a blessing in disguise as i have no desire to have photographic evidence of me skipping around a giant colored parachute and twirling ribbons with a bunch of two year olds.... the memory is enough.
the fact that hizam and lots of strangers got to witness that mortified me beyond words for the whole evening.
(it's one thing to be a teacher skipping and dancing and twirling ribbons but it is another thing completely to be an adult under compulsory instruction and at the mercy of toddler programs).
p better appreciate the sacrifice of my dignity.
(i've also decided that having p doing more than one activity is most likely not for me) |
