gardening and the valley of indecision

one weekend we finally had a moment to plant some things for the front porch.
apparently, bike helmet protection was necessary.
that's right girl, plant them new guinea impatiens
we absolutely needed (it was life or death need i swear) new pots for the porch so we went to a nursery i had seen with a friend.
i've named it the valley of indecision.
i knew what i wanted when i went there but, when greeted by great stretches of visual planter candy, hysterical blindness sets in and all previous decisions are rendered invalid.
maybe blue

or the most amazingly beautiful green.
oh my, a sea of terra cotta

fortunately for me price tag helped narrow the field and i found my designated section.
the 'as is' section.
and then we wandered through all the green houses to see all the pretty flowers.

oh my, more pots.  i've never, ever, seen such a selection of pots.
i'm glad we found two that would work for us.
and then we ate cookies with clean hands and dirty faces.
