as i stood in my bathroom filled with delight over 'shelves in the closet' i could hear jennifer ehl delivering the 'shelves in the closet, happy thoughts indeed' line from 'pride & prejudice'.
for a while now this catherine de burg has been bugging a certain mr. collins to put shelves in the bathroom utility closet. six years ago there was one shelf but i pitched it because of mold due to a (now fixed) leak. (i don't mess around with mold or any substance that would be happy to get into and live my lungs). but dear mr. collins lacked the equipment to build them. as soon as the bare necessities of cutting wood became available i started 'suggesting' we get the shelves done.
and finally he did it. oh, happy thoughts indeed. i heard a lot of growling and frustration that particular saturday and i had started to wonder if hizzle would still love me after this experience considering the amount of time that had past and the amount of 'AAHHHH's i heard coming from the bathroom..... but it was finished and i found 4 shelves when i was expecting only three. bliss. he loves me, he loves me not, he loves me.
