february movies

doris day. james garner. one of those movies where you have a weird goofy grin on your face.
i just can't say no to a 60's chick flick.
bonus: the cutest kid actors and admiral boom were in it too.
'bedtime story'.  loretta young.
'private screening with angela lansbury'.
i haven't seen many many films with her but i did see her first movie 'gaslight' once.
and let's not forget 'bed knobs and broomsticks' which i happen to own.
i plan on doing something about my ignorance.
( i don't count watching 'murder she wrote' when i was a kid but i did grow up watching that)
i did record 'court jester' and i can't wait to watch it again (love danny kaye)
'national velvet'.  (which also has angela lansbury)
i loved watching this with pennie because i love the movie and we both love horses
'saratoga'. clark gable. jean harlow. walter pidgeon. lionel barrymore.
one of jean's last pictures before she died.
there's some pretty horses in it too but i hate gambling.
'just you and me, kid'.  george burns. burns is so quick.  such perfect comedic timing.
it's definitely not a kiddie movie but compared to some things i see advertised on tv it's squeaky clean.
'strike up the band.' mickey rooney. judy garland.
lot's of fun.  we like fun.  and the high school dance scene made me jealous of dance skills...
and it looked like so much fun to do
'the court jester'. danny kaye. angela lansbury. the mom from mary poppins.
i was so excited when i saw this on the channel guide.  blue keep button definitely.
'the pellet with the poison's in the vessel with piste... the chalice from the palace holds the brew that is true'
'larceny, inc.'  edward g. robinson. jane wyman.
and i think the voice of the mouse from dumbo... i'll have to check that one.
pennie almost had a panic attack when santa claus was knocked unconscious.
'it's a wonderful world'.  claudette colbert. james stewart.
the beginning is very, um, frightening, but the female role has spunk and wit and the male role has wit
so it was very enjoyable.
with a bunch of stars before they were stars: judy garland. small small part for alan ladd.
betty grable. and the guy who played the tin man!
the original one with will rogers.
i loved looking at the kitchen set and the front porch set.
i could live in that house.
'bloosoms in the dust.' greer garson. walter pidgeon.
funny thing is this is the second movie i've seen with them about adoption.
'bachelor in paradise'. bob hope. lana turner.  a sixties visual treat.... as usual.
if it was a book i'd spend all day looking at the pictures.... and bob hope is so witty.
not a kiddie movie because it deals with alcohol and insinuates other things.
'summertime'. katherine hepburn.
so so so pretty.  visual candy.  katherine's acting...amazing. morals: ick. she falls in love with a married man.
'the nun's story'. audrey hepburn and other cool people (like the general from 'white Christmas').
beautiful cinematography.  definitely glamorizes things a bit til the end.
nice singing.  theologically i do not agree with the catholic church, that being said....
there is something so beautiful about the nuns singing prayers. ( i especially love the sounds of chants and songs that monks have recorded. )
a bit of mystery at 'holiday camp'.
'lili'.
i remember watching this when i was a kid but i remembered little of the movie.
my dad must have taped it.
do you remember it tootie?
