in no particular order this is what we've been watching.
with all the dreary weather coming i hope to relieve my dvr's memory a bit.
i know i've watched morethan this but these are the ones that i remember.
(there was a musical with doris day and the guy
who played the scarecrow from the wizard of oz somewhere in there)
(some of them bo would like to forget... i think he hates tcm)
the african queen. miss hepburn wrote a memoir about her
experience filming the movie and i hope to read it some day. |
the girl from missouri |
mr. roberts. i recommend this one |
the strawberry blonde. one of my favorites |
born yesterday. worth seeing. i've never been a huge fan of william holden |
it should happen to you. loved this one |
four wives & then four mothers. i'd seen four daughters a year or so back so
i thought i was obligated to complete the trilogy |
foreign affair. definitely recommend |
well, this one is rather completely unacceptable morally.
it has some amazing lighting and cinematography. |
lawrence of arabia. snooze but amazingly and beautifully filmed. |
the music man. there is something about the 60's and their crisp and clear color films.
this and lawrence of arabia are just visually stunning when you think about them from a
purely visual perspective. i couldn't imagine getting the timing right on those chorus numbers
and during shirley jones song on the foot bridge i admit
i couldn't stop thinking of the beatles cover of it |
