scarlett o'trash can.
i dubbed her thus because she walked into teapots house and feeling rather drab and dirty she pulled down the green curtains, made herself a dress and put it on. she's been wearing it ever since.
nice right?
(i usually don't post my projects like this but as soon as i thought of the green curtains in 'gone with the wind' i couldn't help myself. i had to remind blogspot of what a nerd i am.)
i needed a new trash can. the old one was so stained and who knows how much money i was pouring down the drain in paper towels, green works, and wipes.....it was a daily thing to twice daily thing. so i have to get a new one, right? well, they're expensive and i am too snobby to get a plastic one after having a metal one. it's right out there in the open, you can't miss it, plastic would have been tragic. new white enamel are hard to find and expensive. solution? the same solution as anyone with hgtv on their program guide. spray paint. she's still dented but she looks a lot better.
unfortunately for me pink/coral wasn't an option in rustoleum so i had to go w/ avacado green (technically fern). anything is better than smudgy drip stained steel.
whoa. that looks awesome.
