part one: the morning (and a church picture)
patriotic dress to church - check |
a flag raising sounded like an appropriate event for the fourth |
'can we raise it already' |
you decided - last minute - to go to a flag raising on the fourth of july
if you ran a block and a half in 90 degree heat because you were late
if you arrived on time but stood there sweating profusely during the pledge of allegience
if you spilled ice tea all over the library floor, yourself, and your child during the reception
if, when you were leaving, your state representative pushed your stroller with your child in it out of the building and up the ramp from the reception because you couldn't handle the stroller, your new ice tea, and the sidewalk bumps.
it seems like i'm the only one raising my hand. embarrassing.
